The 5020A/5020AD are accurate and durable instruments designed to perform hipot tests on all types of electrical products, systems, and components. The test instruments have been built to provide a cost effective, yet powerful solution to hipot testing, whether on a production line or in a laboratory environment for compliance testing purposes. They are simple to operate and are designed for use by unskilled or semi-skilled personnel in production testing for AC and DC (5020AD only) dielectric withstand testing. With ARC-sense circuitry, differentiate between the two conditions of momentary spikes in the nominal leakage and dielectric breakdown leakage current. They are capable of testing to most industry specifications such as UL, CSA, VDE, IEC, and MIL for dielectric withstand testing.
